The Natural Anti-Inflammatory

Serrapeptidase (technically Serratia Peptidase) is a multi-functional proteolytic enzyme that dissolves non-living tissues such as fibrin, plaque, blood clots, cysts, and inflammation in all forms – without harming living tissue. It was originally isolated from the silkworm, which produces it to break down its hard cocoon walls, and is produced commercially today through a fermentation process.

A striking quality of serrapeptidase is its profound ability to reduce pain, by blocking the release of pain-inducing amines. It has received wide use as an analgesic in Europe, where it now outsells ibuprofen, brand-name painkillers, and prescription NSAIDs. Clinical research studies have found that serrapeptidase prompts anti-inflammatory activity, anti-edemic activity (the lessening of fluid retention), and fibrinolytic activity (the dissolution of protein buildups). Both in vitro and in vivo studies have revealed that its specific anti-inflammatory effects are far superior to that of other proteolytic enzymes.

Serrapeptidase also alters the elasticity and viscosity of the dense mucus produced in people with respiratory conditions. People with sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, and pulmonary diseases show much improved structure and function of the mucus after taking serrapeptidase.

My vision has improved since I started taking Serrapeptase and I honestly feel better. It's the only product that I've ever taken that I could feel a difference. I had glaucoma surgery 7 months ago and I wake up with greasy moisture in my eyes and sometimes my eyes sting like hell but my vision has actually improved. Let me tell you about Serrapeptase. Serrapeptase is better than a cortisone shot. I have tennis elbow and I used to have to take cortisone shots. Now the pain in my elbow, knees, wrists, and ankles is gone. I started with 4 tablets 3 times daily then I reduced to 3 tablets 3 times daily. If I take less than that I notice some pain in my joints. My ankle swelling is gone now and it looks like someone else with skinny ankles is wearing my shoes. My hemorrhoid disappeared. Serrapeptase was recommended to me by a friend for my arthritis. I have a lot of obscure drug reactions. Darvon didn't work and codeine stopped the peristalsis in my bowels. I was taking morphine sulfate for pain because I can't take NSAIDS. After taking two and a half bottles of Serrapeptase I didn't need to take morphine any longer. I take Serrapeptase every 8 hours. I found out for me that it wears off after about 8 hours. I don't think that medicine has done enough for people with arthritis. With regard to the effects of Serrapeptase: I initially decided to try it because of an article in the UK national press reporting on its benefits as an anti-inflammatory agent. It is available in the UK, but at twice the cost advertised in America.

I have suffered from inflammation due to wear and tear and compressed disc in the lower back for six years now, and have had to rely on NSAIDS for relief. I don't like taking them because of possible long term side-effects. I find that Serrapeptase is more effective than NSAID. However, it so happens that there is a history of heart disease in my family (from both parents), and whilst I have no symptoms, it is comforting to know that Serrapeptase may well be removing any build-up of arterial plaque. I can only assume that it is not prescribed by doctors here in Britain because of the lack of wholesale testing results.

I used to wrap my hands because I had jabbing pains at the base of the thumb and my wrists. I started taking Serrapeptase, 3 tablets twice per day. I haven't had to wrap my hands in over a week now.
